LICENSED CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKERS AND CLINICAL COORDINATORS: US MEDIA CONSULTING

The Child Center began as a childrens counseling center, and a commitment to mental health remains at the core of everything we do. We employ social workers across program areas and in a variety of settings. Responsibilities include providing high-quality, culturally sensitive mental health services, and assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of clinical concerns. Our social workers help turn a troubled start into a bright path for some of our citys most vulnerable populations, including the undocumented, children experiencing abuse, and families living in extreme poverty. Clinicians must have a masters or doctorate degree in social work or counseling and New York State License/Certification.

Social Worker Role:

Planning, coordinating and implementing support packages to help clients and their families cope in difficult times and overcome dependencies. Interviewing service users and assessing their current condition, needs, strengths and weaknesses. Addressing each case as a unit and setting tailored measurable goals.

Other Duties:

  • Plan, coordinate, manage and implement support packages to help clients deal with difficulties and overcome dependencies
  • Interview service users and assess their current condition, needs, strengths and weaknesses
  • Address each case as a unit and set tailored measurable goals
  • Monitor and evaluate clients progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
  • Offer information and counseling on the best course of action during sessions
  • Maintain accurate records and report on clients status
  • Attend case conferences and provide evidence in court
  • Act as a key-worker and cooperate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Refer clients to community services to help them in recovery
